Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Planify ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Planify ("we," "our," or "us").

2. Description of Service

Planify is a family organization application that provides:

• Shared family calendar with event management
• Task management and to-do lists
• Collections system including trips, lists, and savings goals
• Family collaboration features with real-time sync
• Scheduled tasks and push notifications

3. Account Registration

3.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Users between 13 and 18 years old must have parental or guardian consent to use the App. Children under 13 may only use the App under direct parental supervision through a parent's account.

3.2 Account Responsibilities

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

4. Family Groups

• Family group owners have administrative control over their group
• You may only invite individuals to your family group who have consented to join
• Members can be assigned roles: Owner, Admin, or Member, each with different permissions
• Content shared within a family group is visible to all members of that group
• Removing a member from a family group does not delete their personal account

5. Subscriptions and Payments

5.1 Subscription

Planify requires an active subscription to use. The subscription costs $34.99 per year and includes unlimited access to all features and unlimited family members.

5.2 Billing

• Subscriptions are billed through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android)
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
• Refunds are subject to the policies of Apple or Google, depending on your platform

5.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your device's app store settings. Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to the app until the end of your paid period.

6. User Content

6.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you create or upload to Planify, including events, tasks, lists, and documents. By using the App, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

6.2 Content Guidelines

You agree not to upload, share, or create content that:

• Violates any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringes on intellectual property rights of others
• Contains malicious code or harmful content
• Is fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the App
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use automated systems or bots to access the App without permission
• Share your account credentials or allow others to access your account
• Use the App to harass, abuse, or harm others

8. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, graphics, and code, is owned by Planify and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App without our express written permission.

9. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

• Calendar sync with external services may experience delays or interruptions
• We are not responsible for missed reminders due to device settings or network issues
• Data backup and recovery are not guaranteed in all circumstances

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PLANIFY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time through the App settings. Upon termination:

• Your access to the App will be revoked
• Your personal data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy
• Content shared in family groups may remain visible to other members

12. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law. For users in the European Union, this does not affect your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection laws.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. For users in the European Union, mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence shall apply. For users in the United States, the laws of the State of Delaware shall apply.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or via email. Continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
